Maria Ignatova was born in Rousse. She is mechanical engineer by profession, specialty Technology of “Machine building and metal cutting machines”. She has a master’s degree in International Economic Relations. As a business woman Maria Ignatova successfully runs her own machine building company. Today she lives and creates in Kazanlak.
Ever since her childhood she has been dreaming of painting, but her life leads her in the world of exact sciences. Although she is ambitious and talented in her profession, Maria lives with her unrealized longing to touch the paints. She believes that someday a miracle would happen and she would sit across the blank canvas so she could avow in tints her ideas of wonderful and heavenly world, illustrating the bravest flight of human imagination. And so in 2004 fortunately she meets the untraditional painter Stefka Baldjieva. Maria Ignatova becomes her student and follower of her methodic of painting with finger and oil paints, laid directly on the canvas. Under the hands of the neophyte painter fantastic artistic paintings are being born, creations of her imagination. In the creating process Maria finds a complete satisfaction of her spirit, which sets off for secret and mystical worlds, painting planets, galaxies, messages from ancient and vanished civilizations.
